TULSA — On Tuesday, August 25th, Tulsa County and 49 other counties around the state will hold elections.
Because there are run-offs for three state offices in Tulsa County, early voting will continue through Saturday at the election board, 555 N. Denver Ave.
The hours are:
Thursday, Aug. 20: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 21: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 22: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The only location available for in person early voting is the election board; Hardesty Library in south Tulsa, normally a second location for early voting, is closed due to the pandemic.
Voters who choose to vote by mail using an absentee ballot are strongly urged to get their ballots in the mail by 5 p.m. on Thursday.
If that’s not possible, they can hand deliver a sealed absentee ballot to the election board, but the deadline to do that is 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
Voters can only deliver their own ballot, and must sign a statement affirming they will not only attempt to vote in person.
It is very important, whether the absentee ballot is mailed or delivered in person, that the affidavit is fully filled out, and either notarized or has a photocopy of a state-issued ID, passport, or voter ID card attached.
