A woman has died after police say she was stabbed in a road rage incident over the weekend.
Tulsa police said it happened Saturday afternoon in a neighborhood near 6th and Garnett.
TPD said the man who stabbed the woman told officers she had been tailgating him, honking her horn and even threw a steel rod, which police said was part of an automotive jack, tire iron at his vehicle.
According to police, the man called 911 himself and said he drove into his neighborhood, but didn’t want to go directly to his house so he would not be followed. TPD said the man saw the woman in her vehicle in a parking lot near his home, so he parked in the same lot to confront her.
“The female produced a steel rod, part of an automotive jack, and struck the caller several times and damaged his car. The caller gave warning for the female to leave him alone, which were not heeded. The caller produced a knife and slashed at females’ midsection, resulting in a cut to her abdomen, stopping the assault.” Police wrote.
Tulsa police said the woman, identified as Miashah Moses, ran to a relative’s house nearby and was later taken to the hospital where she died. Police said the man involved also required treatment at the hospital.
Officers said two witnesses were interviewed by detectives.
The man, who police did not identify, was questioned and released.
TPD said the DA’s office would review the case and decide if charges are warranted.
