Tulsa police said a 7-year-old boy was hit by a car Wednesday afternoon.

TPD said it happened on 21st Street west of Memorial. The westbound lanes were closed for the investigation.

Police said the child suffered significant injuries and later died.

We’re told the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
