Tulsa Police arrest a man after they say he made a dangerous attempt to get away last night in midtown Tulsa.

It started when police say they saw a Chevy Tahoe and trailer with an obstructed license plate and tried to pull it over near 36th and Lewis around 10:00 p.m. Sunday night.

But they say the driver sped away, heading northbound, running red lights and even driving on the wrong side of the road.

Police say they terminated the pursuit, but they say the driver still wound up crashing near 5th and Lewis, scattering items from the trailer all over the road.

They say 22-year-old Price Wasson jumped out and tried to run but was quickly nabbed by officers.

Police say they found a stolen gun in the Tahoe and found out the Tahoe itself was stolen.

Wasson already has an extensive criminal history and is now facing more charges, including Possession of Stolen Property AFCF (After Former Conviction of a Felony), Eluding, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, Driving with a Revoked License, No Insurance, Expired Tag, Improper Tag, and several others .
